Literally no where Iceland! :-P We spent 2 days in the interior, and now we are staying at this camp site: http://www.fjalladyrd.is/, there is a rainbow outside, its warm inside, and after 2 days of wild camping and riding to Kverkfjöll and back, well, let us just that this now looks like a puddle to me:

and I laugh at that fact that on the first day here I thought it was worth photographing! :-P

Anyway, I though I would update everyone and let them know I am still alive and kicking, and then we want to head over to do some shopping, not for ourselves, but for Skye J and the new McCarthy baby due to arrive in November! (So I hope my sister in law is taking her prenate dha every day!) Little cute squisher that she is going to have! We figure since its raining heading off into the interior is not the best idea, better to wait a little, and instead we head off into the wilds of the Icelandic shopping mall, where the prices make you weep. :-P

I just laughed out loud, my bunny is boarding with friends, and they just left a message he is getting the snip chop because now that he has fathered a bunny his services are no longer needed, and he is a little male rabbit shall we say.

I come home to a fatter bunny I think…

The ferry ride to Iceland took 2 days and then some! Well I think more or less 48 hours exactly, we started in the morning, and then spent 2 nights, and then the morning of the 3rd day we disembarked. We made it all of 20 kms yesterday, we just kept stopping and taking videos and pics!

But on the boat we treated ourselves to the breakfast buffet and planned out our trip. And then I was jealous of the receipt printer they had on the boat. Our printer is only 2 years old, but in technological time that is a dinosaur (which makes me rather sad in terms of sustainability and waste management, but another post for another day) but it is a monster, and then looking at our print offs with what our neighbors at the table over had, (and it printed in 10 seconds, completely silent, and then they had tourist info), well it makes me wonder if I need another printer….

And it is nothing short of wow amazing!!! Everyone should visit this place (just pack your dollars is all I will say!) :-)

The BBQ is on, the bikes are packed, we have our tickets for the ferry, we have full tanks of gas, we hopefully have not forgotten anything major, we eat, set the alarm for early, and ride northwards! First to Hamburg to spend the night, and then onwards to Denmark where we will board the ferry and cross over to Iceland over a period of 2 days. In Hamburg we will stay with friends, and all in all, despite a very stressful 2 days, I am looking forward to taking our time to see Iceland at our leisure!

You might also be stressed if you are having problems getting your social security benefits. If so you can check out a site that specializes in social security benefits claims.

And on that note kiddies, I am off to pack the last few things, and then eat, sleep and ride to Iceland!

2 days later than anticipated, but minor detail really! :-)

We will be sleeping in our beds the last time before heading for Iceland! And then we head to Hamburg for 2 days before catching the ferry across to begin our next adventure! And sleeping we will be doing, I am exhausted! Truthfully part of me wants above ground pools just so we can relax and lie about, but that is the best thing about having parents obsessed with the Caribbean. I can go on adventures with my motorcycle and my German, and then meet them for 2 weeks of sleep ins and sunbathing by the pool.

Seriously, I no longer need TV since Alix came to visit and has shown me the wonders I have been missing:

I am getting a little excited at the idea of going to Iceland here, I just went back and recounted the days because 9 days seemed to be TOO close. Its 12 days. :-( And then we head to Hamburg for 2 nights, and one day (one day will just be driving on the highway) and we can visit Patrick’s cousin there, and then we will spend my birthday in Denmark and board the ferry the next day. Wheeee!!!!! Until then Im researching convex mirrors. You don’t even want to know.
I really am starting to feel a little overwhelmed, I need a break!!!!!
